Active Signer URL

Introduction

Ever had an e-signature request halt due to a signer being out-of-office or otherwise unreachable? You can now resume an active S-Sign request as the current signer directly from Salesforce and keep the signature process moving with the Active Signer URL feature.

Having the ability to access the document as an active signer can come in handy for a variety of troubleshooting needs. Say the S-Sign request was sent to an inactive or incorrect email address and the client is now in the office with the sales rep. The Active Signer URL will allow the sales rep to access the document as the signer and pass it over to the client for their signature.

Now let’s see how to access this feature.

How to Access the Active Signer URL

The Active Signer URL can be found on the S-Sign Envelope Document record. Accessing it only takes a few simple steps.

First, navigate to the object in which the e-signature request was sent out. Next, on the right-hand side of your screen, find the related list entitled “S-Sign Envelopes” and click to open it.

The S-Sign Envelopes related list displays S-Sign Envelopes for all of the S-Sign requests you have sent out. Navigate to the one that you are dealing with and click to open it.

Next, you will be brought to the S-Sign Envelope detail record, which shows the specific details of the S-Sign request you are dealing with. You will need to navigate to the “Related” tab in order to access the S-Sign Envelope Document records related to this S-Sign Envelope.

After opening the Related tab, you will be brought to a page that displays related S-Sign Envelope Document records. One Envelope Document record is created for each document sent in your e-signature request. Click on the blue letter and number sequence under “Envelope Doc Number” to access the Envelope Document record(s).

After clicking, you will be brought to the Envelope Document record. Navigate to the lower left-hand corner of the page and click on the green square underneath the label “Continue as Active Signer.”

That’s it! After clicking this square, you will be brought to the document and will be able to troubleshoot the S-Sign request as the signer, sign, or decline the signature on behalf of the signer.
