User experience

General experience Admins build fields (signature, initials, text, etc) and signer profiles into S-Docs templates. End users generate S-Docs templates to send for e-Signature, and do not generally modify e-Signature fields or signer profiles. End users upload existing PDFs to S-Docs and define the signer(s), fields, and other aspects of the e-Signature request through a drag-and-drop interface. Admins or end users build S-Docs templates (without e-Signature data pre-defined). End users generate the templates and then define the signer(s), fields, and other aspects of the e-Signature request through a drag-and-drop interface.

Key benefits and differentiators

S-Sign

S-Sign is our original e-Signature solution — leveraging all of the benefits of S-Docs to enable organizations with e-Signature operations that are as defined, efficient, and secure as possible in Salesforce:

  • Defined - S-Sign documents have signer profiles and signature fields built in via the S-Docs template editor, reducing decisions required of end users and creating repeatable agreement processes. S-Sign documents can also be built into automated Flows that further drive a standardized agreement process.
  • Efficient - Users can generate S-Docs templates and send them for e-Signature without leaving their normal flow of work via S-Docs LWCs or other actions that invoke document generation automatically. For example, a user may update the stage of an Opportunity, which triggers S-Docs to generate a contract and send it to all Opportunity Contact Roles, without requiring input from the end user.
  • Secure - In addition to being native to Salesforce and in compliance with standard government regulations, S-Sign affords organizations the most control over their e-Signature processes. This enables organizations to easily deploy processes that ensure compliance with internal and external policies.

S-Sign is best for organizations who want to incorporate e-Signature as part of their broader document processes. It’s ingrained within the regular S-Docs document generation process.

S-Docs e-Signature for Salesforce

S-Docs e-Signature allows users to capture e-Signatures for any PDF quickly and securely, right inside of Salesforce. It’s built for organizations that need an agile solution to capture e-Signatures on the fly, and is available free for up to 50 e-Signature requests per year.

  • Fast & Convenient - S-Docs e-Signature is a quick four-step process from uploading a PDF to sending it for e-Signature.
  • Customizable - S-Docs e-Signature enables end users to choose what documents are sent, who they’re sent to, what fields are captured, and more.
  • Flexible - Users can choose any PDF to upload, tag with drag-and-drop fields, and send for e-Signature. No matter the document, S-Docs e-Signature is built to handle it.

S-Docs e-Signature is native to Salesforce and inherits those security and compliance benefits.

S-Docs e-Signature for HubSpot

S-Docs’ e-Signature solution for HubSpot combines the controlled, repeatability of S-Sign with the flexible, convenient nature of S-Docs e-Signature. This solution can be set up and used by admins or end users in a matter of minutes, aligning with the simpler, user-friendly interface that HubSpot users know and love.

HubSpot e-Signature requests must be initiated after generating an S-Docs template, but unlike S-Sign, the signer profiles and fields are not pre-defined. Once a user generates a template, they can use an interface similar to S-Docs e-Signature to define signers, drag-and-drop fields, and send the request.

S-Docs e-Signature for HubSpot comes with some important differentiators that are specific to the HubSpot market:

  • Data writeback: This solution offers a unique two-way data sync. Users can map fields from e-Signature requests back to HubSpot properties; for example, if an e-Signature document has a text field for a customer to enter their title, that data can be automatically mapped back to the Job Title property on the Contact record.
  • Automated Workflows: Unlike other solutions, S-Docs e-Signature for HubSpot can be triggered through an automated HubSpot workflow, allowing organizations to build standardized agreement processes.
  • Use with any document: While HubSpot offers proprietary e-Signature for use with its quote feature, S-Docs e-Signature for HubSpot allows users to build any agreement — including NDAs and other contracts, employment agreements, purchase orders, and more.

Overall, S-Docs e-Signature for HubSpot offers more functionality and flexibility over HubSpot’s proprietary offerings, along with unique differentiators that similar solutions lack.
